Bleach Products That Leave Chemical Residues on Your Clothes
A Cautionary Tale from Khem Jaruwann
Khem posted in the "Beloved Housework" group to warn about the dangers of using bleach or whitening detergents. She shared how her mother had soaked her daughter's clothes in a popular bleaching product from a neighboring country, then forgot about them for three whole days. After finally washing the clothes normally, her daughter wore them and developed an allergic reaction on her skin. By the second day, the rash had spread all over her body. Khem later discovered that her mother had soaked the clothes for far too long, causing an excessive amount of chemical residues to remain in the fabric, which led to the severe allergic reaction.

First Aid When Chemicals Contact Skin:
- Rinse with clean water or Aqueous Ozone (AO) for at least 15 minutes to help dilute and wash away the chemicals
- Do not use chemical antidotes, as the heat from chemical reactions may cause more harm
- Relieve pain and treat for shock
- Cover the wound and transport to hospital
